パース・ジンダル氏は、リシャブ・パンツにRTMオプションを使用すると、DCのIPL 2025オークション全体が台無しになるだろうと説明した
Delhi Capitals (DC) co-owner Parth Jindal admitted that Rishabh Pant’s departure from the side was hard to accept, following IPL 2025 auction. Despite DC engaging in a bidding war for the southpaw, he was bought by LSG for a record breaking price of Rs 27 cr. The DC owner reflected on his decision to not use the Right to Match (RTM) card for Rishabh Pant and explained how he made the sacrifice for the franchise.
DC owner explains why RTM was not used for Rishabh Pant
Speaking to RevSportz in an interiew, Parth Jindal explained that using the RTM option for Rishabh Pant would have spoilt the entire auction for DC. He added that the team had lost their former skipper the moment they did not retain him. Pant was released ahead of the mega auction, months after he made a comeback in IPL 2024 after a horrific car crash that left him sidelined for over a year.
“We lost Rishabh Pant the minute we didn’t retain him. Let’s all be very honest about that. Let’s not try and kid ourselves that we were going to try and get him back in the auction. If I did do the Right to Match at that price, then I would have ruined the entire auction for Delhi Capitals,” Parth Jindal said.
