In a compelling video going viral on social media, a section of Indian fans were seen teasing Starc on his Indian Premier League (IPL) adventures.

In the video, Starc was seen drinking water near the boundary ropes when he hears Indian fans shouting, ” IPL,IPL, IPL… Starcy (Mitchell Starc) loves IPL.” Right after then, the fans began to cheer “KKR, KKR,” with one fan shouting, “How much?,” indicating to Starc’s hefty contract worth Rs 24.75 crore at IPL 2024 when he was roped in by the Kolkata Knight Riders, the eventual winners.
Incredibly, Starc has switched alliance with the Delhi Capitals (DC), who paid Rs 11.75 crore to acquire his services at the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Mitchell Starc is officially the best pink ball bowler in the world so far. He has a terrific record in day-night Test matches, having already racked up 70 Test wickets, the most by any player. He started the 2nd BGT Test against India on a rollicking note, trapping Yashasvi Jaiswal in front of the stumps. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were undone by extra bounce too before Ravichandran Ashwin wasted a review on a fiesty yorker. Starc’s former KKR teammate Harshit Rana proved to be his fifth victim. This is incredibly Starc’s maiden fifer against India in the format.
