Yograj Singhは、膝をねじっているにもかかわらず、インドをトロフィーセミスチャンピオンで勝利に導いたことをハーディクパンディアを称賛しました
Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh lauded Hardik Pandya’s valiant efforts in Team India’s run-chase against Australia on Tuesday. The all-rounder turned the tables on the Aussies with a blistering 28-run knock off 24 deliveries, studded with three sixes. Yuvraj Singh’s father hailed Pandya’s efforts, noting that he did so despite twisting his knee in the match.

“Hardik’s knee was…”: Yograj Singh on Champions Trophy semis
Speaking to Lokmat Times, Yograj Singh pointed out that Hardik‘s knee got twisted during the Champions Trophy semi-final clash and that he couldn’t walk. He lavished praise on the all-rounder for overcoming the setback and taking the team on the winning side. Noting that cricket was a religion in India, Yuvraj’s father urged critics to support players instead of playing them down constantly.
“Cricket is a religion in our country. When these players, who give their blood and sweat for us, when they fall, pick them up, when they feel sad, console them; when they cannot walk, then lift them on your shoulders. Hardik’s knee was twisted. He could not walk, but still, he took the match on the winning side. People should learn from this. People should be positive, irrespective of win or loss. If you keep talking down on a player, he goes down forever. Hardik Pandya’s knee got twisted today,” Yograj said.

Hardik came into bat at number 7 following Virat Kohli’s dismissal. With three gigantic sixes, Pandya put India in a comfortable position to complete the run-chase with ease. All three sixes and a boundary struck by the all-rounder were hit down the ground, with two of the maximums going past 100m. One of them even landed in the VIP box where ICC chairman Jay Shah was sitting. Eventually, India beat Australia by 4 wickets to qualify for the finals of Champions Trophy 2025.
