SKYはICC ODIワールドカップ2023決勝後、ODIの試合を1試合も行っていない
The India Cricket Team squad for the ICC Champions Trophy squad has been announced. And now former India star Suresh Raina has claimed Suryakumar Yadav should have been present in the squad. SKY is currently the captain of the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game. But SKY has not been selected for the India squad for the ICT.
Suresh Raina claimed that SKY should have been present in the team. After the ODI World Cup, SKY has not been a part of the ODI squad. Furthermore, after his disappointing stint, SKY has been dropped from the 50-over format. He is now considered to be a T20I specialist.
Should SKY be a part of the Champions Trophy squad?
“If he was there, we would have had that X factor. He has the ability to play various shots. He could have batted anywhere and it would have provided flexibility to the batting,” Suresh Raina said in the Star Sports interaction.
India have fielded a strong squad both in the batting and the bowling units. Among the major missing from the ODI World Cup squad is Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Siraj. But for India, the absence of SKY apparently won’t be felt. But former India star Suresh Raina begs to differ from the squad.
He claimed that SKY would have been a nice addition to the squad. He believes that a player of SKY’s calibre brings in the X-Factor in the team. Raina argued that SKY has the ability to play a wide range of shots. Furthermore, Raina also argued that SKY is a versatile batter and can bat anywhere in the lineup.
