カルン・ネールは、人生で最も困難な時期は何だったか、そしてその困難をどのように乗り越えて VHT の最高得点者になったかを明かしました。
Karun Nair has been in red-hot form off late, especially in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 where he averages 664. The middle-order batter, who was left out of Karnataka’s side (his home team) towards the end of 2022, had taken it upon himself to ensure he came back stronger and better. And rightfully so, he did the same by allowing his bat to do the talking and guiding Vidarbha to the VHT semis.
Karun Nair – a phoenix that rose from the ashes
Ahead of the VHT semi-final clash against Maharashtra, Karun opened up on how he managed to stage a comeback after a difficult phase in his life. Little did he think that life could go further south after being dropped from the Indian team in 2017 despite scoring a triple-hundred. Nair revealed that the toughest phase of his life came in 2022 when his home team – Karnataka – dropped him. The prolific batter revealed that he had changed his mindset over the last couple of years to finishing the game for the side. Further, he credited his family and close friends for motivating him to move on from the tough phase and ensure he finds his golden touch again.
Latest news
Karun’s next goal would be to guide Vidarbha to the finals of VHT as they take on Maharashtra in the semis. Nair created history when he became the only second Indian to score a triple-century in Tests. It came in the 5th Test against England in Chennai in 2016. It was followed by some average performances in 2017 following which he was shown the door. To date, Nair has played 6 Tests, and 2 ODIs. His next best chance to get back into the Indian team would be the IND vs ENG Test series later in June 2025.
