Notably, Gough acknowledged South Africa and New Zealand as formidable contenders but highlighted India’s depth and resilience, even without key player Jasprit Bumrah. “Jasprit Bumrah, the best bowler in the world, is not playing for India. And they still look too strong for everybody else,” he added, underscoring India’s striking form in the tournament.
