Virat Kohli delivered another masterclass like he often does against arch-rivals Pakistan. He clubbed a magnificent hundred to help India script a massive win at the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai. He hit a four off Khushdil Shah not only to complete the 242-run chase but also completed his 51st ODI ton, the fourth against Pakistan. However, at one point of time, the chances came down for Kohli to hammer his century. Courtesy of Shaheen Afridi.

Disgraceful act by Shaheen?
By the end of the 41st over, Kohli was batting on 87 and India needed 17 runs to win the match. By that time, it all looked well for the modern-day master. But Afridi tried some unsportsmanlike tactic by bowling wides (deliberately) to deny Kohli a hundred. In a span of four balls, the left-arm quick bowled as many as three wides, one of which went for an extra run as well. Witnessing this, the Dubai crowd duly “booed” and chanted “loser, loser” to Shaheen and the Pakistan cricket team. The match went on a juncture where India were just 11 runs short, while Kohli needed 10 runs.
Kohli being Kohli then mastered the chase and even took care of his century. He milked 5 runs off Afridi’s last three balls. In the next over, he clubbed the left-arm spinner for a splendid four towards the off-side and scripted his first-ever century in ICC Champions Trophy.
