Such was the situation that they only managed to score two boundaries in the span of next six overs, just letting the storm pass. But then, in hindsight, it seems it was part of the plan. Krunal slowly started to accelerate, while Kohli played the anchor role. Not only the duo built a 100-run partnership, but also ensured that RCB notched their seventh win of the season.

In the end, Krunal went unbeaten with 47-ball 73, with his innings including five four and four sixes. Interestingly, Krunal’s last fifty came in 2016, against the same opposition DC, where he scored 86 from 37.
