サム・コンスタスは、IND対AUSの5回目のテストでジャスプリット・バムラを刺激し、カワジャがウィケットを失う原因になったという間違いを犯したことを認めた。
Australia cricket team opener Sam Konstas admitted that it was his fault that Usman Khawaja faced Jasprit Bumrah’s wrath in IND vs AUS 5th Test. The 19-year-old was involved in a heated verbal exchange with the Indian pacer after which his opening partner was dismissed in the very next delivery. While Australia coach Andrew McDonald accused the Indian side of intimidating Konstas, the young opener has now claimed so otherwise.
Sam Konstas admits he shouldn’t have riled up Bumrah
The incident occurred on Day 2 of the Sydney Test towards the end of play. Konstas, who was at the non-striker’s end, was involved in an exchange with Bumrah, forcing the umpire to intervene. However, the Indian pacer had the last laugh as he got rid of Khawaja on the final delivery of the day.
“Oh, I didn’t get too fazed. Unfortunately, Uzi got out. He was trying to buy some time a little bit. It was probably my fault, but it happens. It’s cricket. Credit to Bumrah. He got the wicket, but obviously great performance from the team,” Konstas told Triple M.

In his debut game at the MCG, the young Aussie opener displayed some fearless batting, taking Bumrah to the cleaners with some innovative shots. However, Virat Kohli wasn’t having any of the disrespect shown towards Bumrah and went on to shoulder bump the youngster. As a result, the Indian batter was fined 20% of his match fee and was handed one demerit point.
