前のゲームに負けた後、パンデのハードマイニングは土曜日にGTに対してアクションに戻ります
Hardik Pandya is all set to return to action for Mumbai Indians in the match against his former team Gujarat Titans on Saturday. The MI captain missed the side’s IPL 2025 opener against CSK after being suspended for one match due to maintaining a slow-over rate in MI’s last IPL 2024 match. Now, Pandya is all set to return to a territory that he is very familiar with – the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

Can MI put an end to GT’s streak against them at home?
At present, GT hold the advantage in terms of head to head record with MI with a 3-2 lead. In fact, MI have lost all three times when they have played Gill and co. in Ahmedabad. Not to forget, Pandya had led the Titans to their first-ever and only IPL title in their inaugural season in 2022.
Date | Venue | Result |
06/05/2022 | Brabourne Stadium (Mumbai) | Mumbai Indians won by 5 runs |
25/04/2023 | Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad) | Gujarat Titans won by 55 runs |
12/05/2023 | Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) | Mumbai Indians won by 27 runs |
26/05/2023 | Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad) | Gujarat Titans won by 62 runs |
24/03/2024 | Narendra Modi Stadium | Gujarat Titans won by 6 runs |
Pandya’s return to the side will boost MI’s chances with both bat and ball. The five-time champions only managed to put up 155 runs on board in the game against CSK. They were handed a 4-wicket defeat by their arch-rivals at Chepauk.
Pandya’s replacement in that game – Robin Minz – is expected to make way for the captain in the playing XI in the game against GT. The keeper-batter had managed to score only 3 runs in Chennai. Perhaps, the return of Pandya could give MI the much-needed boost in terms of batting, especially in the death overs.
