Things are absolutely not going well for La Liga giants FC Barcelona. The Catalan giants are now facing a major crisis after the Spanish Football Federation and La Liga rejected the appeals of registration of Dani Olmo. The player had his La Liga registration done till 31st January owing to Barcelona’s financial troubles.
Due to the wage cap restrictions both summer signings of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were registered by the club till December. And with the duo bodies denying Barcelona’s appeal, their careers now hang on a balance.
Barcelona to go to court
The La Liga rules are pretty simple. The League cannot allow a player to be re-registered again when his registration has been canceled this season. And now going by the looks of it both the players will have to be sidelined till the summer.
“The monitoring committee agrees not to grant the prior approval or the definitive licence requested by FC Barcelona for the players Daniel Olmo Carvajal and Pau Victor Delgado. Following the fulfilment of LaLiga’s FFP requirements by Barcelona on Jan. 3, with the club having completed the relevant documentation, LaLiga has decided to extend their spending cap from the aforementioned date.” read Spanish FA and La Liga’s statement.
“However, the commission agrees not to grant the licenses requested for the players [Olmo and Víctor] RFEFの一般規定第130.2条と第141.5条の解釈に従い、ライセンスを取り消された選手は、同じシーズン中、既に所属していた同じクラブでライセンスを取得することを禁止する。」 、 と声明は付け加えた。
リーグはクラブがワッグ制限規定を順守していることを証明するため、12月31日までの期限をクラブに与えた。しかし、カタルーニャの巨人は財政的安定を証明できなかったため、両選手は放出された。しかし、クラブはこの挫折をうまく受け止めていない。
バルセロナはこの結果に非常に不満を持っており、法廷で決定に異議を申し立てる準備をしている。バルセロナはこの件をスペイン最高裁判所、高等スポーツ評議会に持ち込むことになる。
「バルセロナは本日の決定に同意しないことを表明し、CSDに対して適切な控訴を進める予定だ。登録の問題に関しては、CSDによって問題が解決されるまでクラブは再度コメントするつもりはない。」 バルセロナは声明でこう述べた。
