デヴァジット・サイキア氏とプラブテイ・バティア氏が、ジェイ・シャー氏とアシシュ・シェラー氏の後任として、SGMのBCCI書記兼財務担当に無投票で選出された。
On Sunday, Devajit Saikia and Prabhtej Singh Bhatia were elected as the secretary and treasurer, respectively, at the BCCI Special General Meeting. Shah vacated his role after becoming the ICC chairman last month, and Shelar stepped down after becoming a cabinet minister in Maharashtra. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla confirmed the news of the new appointments on Sunday.
Background of the new officials
Saikia, who is from Assam, was already handling additional secretary duties since Shah’s new appointment on December 1. Previously, he was the joint secretary, leaving that position open. Bhatia is from Chhattisgarh.
