He’d hinted at such a thing recently. “Personal life is such a thing that it depends on an individual how much he wants to show the world. Shadi bhi honi ho toh zaroori thodi na hai ki sabhi ko batake honi hai (It’s not necessary to announce the marriage to the whole world). Whenever it has to happen, the family will decide. That’s when it’ll happen,” he said in an interview with Lallantop.

According to the Indian Express, not even some of the athletes know that Neeraj Chopra is getting married to Himani Mor. When the athlete dropped the bombshell late on January 19, no one knew when and where he got married. His uncle Bhim Chopra has, however, let the cat out of the bag.

“The wedding took place on January 16 in Himachal Pradesh. Both the families were present during the wedding, which was arranged by the two families,” Bhim told Indian Express.

Neeraj Chopra’s uncle revealed that both families wanted things to remain discreet and that as of now, Neeraj and Himani have left India for abroad. Where? He didn’t say. He didn’t reveal any further information but proudly stated that the whole Chopra family is elated.

“It’s a new journey for Neeraj and Himani. We cannot share details of the ceremony since Neeraj and Himani’s families want it to be that way. Neeraj and Himani are currently out of the country. The whole Chopra family is delighted,” Bhim added.
