The 36-year-old’s performance has been under the scanner off late. As per reports, the BCCI Selection Committee is looking for options beyond the superstar. And now Ravindra Jadeja‘s Instagram story which had a Test jersey with Pink number 8, adds fuel to the fire. It was Jadeja’s jersey number for the Sydney Test.

End of Ravindra Jadeja in ODIs?

There have been reports that the selectors are looking forward from Jadeja. This comes after Jadeja was ignored as a bowler in the recently concluded Border Gavaskar Trophy. The southpaw was featured in just 3 Test matches out of the 5 games in Down Under.

“It’s all about when the selectors decide the transition needs to kick in. They will discuss if they want to go with a safe option in (Ravindra) Jadeja or move on right now,” a source told The Times of India.

“Even in Test cricket, he has struggled to get going, though his bowling has been steady. There is an urge to move on from him, especially in the ODI format. It will be a tough call in the coming days,” the source added.
