不幸なYashavi Jaiswalは、インドのチャンピオンズトロフィーチームの最後の数分の排除に直面しています

それにもかかわらず

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been replaced with Varun Chakravarthy in India’s squad for ICC Champions Trophy. The southpaw, who made his debut in the 50-overs format, was initially named in the provisional squad for the marquee tournament. However, the selectors decided to replace him with the spinner in the final squad.

Unlucky Jaiswal misses out on Champions Trophy squad

Jaiswal was named in the provisional squad, most likely as a reserve opener for India. Having enjoyed tremendous success with the bat in the previous calendar year, the southpaw would have surely warranted for a spot in the main squad for Champions Trophy. However, he will now be a non-travelling reserve along with Siraj and Dube and will only travel to Dubai as and when required.

Latest news

Jaiswal has a decent List A record with the bat, with 1526 runs from 33 domestic games, averaging 52.62. Predominantly, the southpaw is more of a Test and T20I player than an ODI player and his numbers surely say so. After managing to clock most runs by an Indian batter in the previous calendar year (2024), Jaiswal would have surely set his eyes on punching his ticket for Champions Trophy. However, that is not to be as the selectors seem to have focused on going with a spin-heavy unit while backing Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma to continue as the openers for India in the tournament.
