Rishabh Pant’s LSG captaincy debut: 0 (6)

Three years later, another wicketkeeper batter, Rishabh Pant, made his LSG captaincy debut. And guess what, he scored a duck as well. The difference was that Pant played six deliveries. He was outfoxed by his former Delhi Capitals (DC) teammate to start his career as LSG captain.

If Rahul’s career is an indication, Pant will enjoy success in Lucknow. One mustn’t forget that although his journey ended badly with LSG, he did lead the new franchise to back-to-back playoff finish in IPL 2022 and 2023.

Everyone knows Pant’s caliber. No one doubts him. This duck should be a aberration and LSG would hope he goes on to pass Rahul’s achievement as an batter and captain.
