With the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) just five days away, excitement is building as the Kolkata Knight Riders prepare to face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the season opener. Adding to the buzz, broadcaster JioStar has unveiled a special offer for cricket fans, providing up to three months of cricketing action completely free.
However, there’s a catch for those looking to access the 90-day free JioHotstar subscription. This offer not only includes live coverage of the entire 18th IPL season but also extends to June, encompassing the ICC World Test Championship Final.
How to watch IPL for free?
To subscribe to the exclusive offer from Reliance Industries-owned JioStar, viewers must purchase a Jio SIM if they are not already customers. Additionally, they must recharge with a minimum plan of Rs 299 (1.5GB/day or more) between March 17 and March 31 to qualify for the offer.
This recharge requirement applies to both new and existing Jio users. According to a statement, “For cricket enthusiasts, Jio has introduced a special offer for both existing and new Jio SIM users. By simply using a Jio SIM and opting for a plan of Rs 299 or higher, customers can enjoy an unparalleled cricketing season.”
As part of the offer, customers will also receive a 50-day free trial of JioFiber or AirFiber services at home. For those who recharged prior to March 17, the offer can still be availed by purchasing a Rs 100 add-on pack.
The JioHotstar subscription will go live on March 22, just in time for the IPL 2025 season opener, where the Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
