Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will aim to avenge their earlier defeat and end their poor run when they host Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 42 of IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens on Saturday (April 26).
Ajinkya Rahane’s KKR have now lost five matches this season, including a 39-run defeat to Gujarat Titans at home — their third home loss in four games.
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer-led PBKS also suffered a 7-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru after failing to defend 158 runs at the New PCA Stadium.
Despite their recent slip, PBKS will draw confidence from their dominant win over KKR earlier this season, where they defended a record-low total of 111, bowling KKR out for 95.
As they meet for the 33rd time overall and the 13th time at Eden Gardens, both teams are desperate to get back to winning ways.
