After the IND vs AUS Test series, startling revelations were made about Gautam Gambhir’s PA, who was found to be in places exclusively meant for the players and support staff. There were reports that he stayed in the same accommodation as the players, was seen in the VIP areas in the stadiums, and was even present in the car meant for the national selectors.

Concerns Raised Over Gautam Gambhir’s PA

But as soon as all this was brought to light, the BCCI swung into action and came up with 10-rule policy to promote discipline, unity and positive team environment. Now, a report has emerged in the PTI, that only goes on to show how serious the BCCI is to implement these rules. Now, Gautam Gambhir’s PA has quietly been asked to stay in a different hotel than the team.

“The personal secretary of a member of the coaching staff, who was regularly seen staying at the team hotel, now stays at a different facility even though he has been seen at every venue during the England home series,” said a PTI report.

BCCI Acts Quick with 10-Rule Policy

Earlier, a BCCI official had vented out, over all these developments. “Why was his PA sitting in the car specified for national selectors? They can’t even discuss things in private with an unknown third person in the car. Why was he allotted space in the BCCI’s hospitality box in Adelaide?” an irritated BCCI official had told PTI.

“How did he have breakfast in the cordoned-off area of a five-star facility that is just earmarked for the team members?” he had asked. But then that wasn’t the case in the IND vs ENG series, where Gambhir’s PA was present, but he was no where near the players or the official gatherings.
