The Indian badminton duo of Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila have achieved their best-ever world ranking, reaching number 25 in the latest Badminton World Federation rankings. Their impressive performance at the 2025 German Open Super 300, where they made it to the semi-finals, helped them climb five spots from their previous rank of 30. With a total of 43,229 points earned over 10 tournaments, they are now the highest-ranked Indian pair in mixed doubles.

Small changes for other Indian players in BWF ranking

In men’s singles, Lakshya Sen holds steady at world number 10. Meanwhile, HS Prannoy has improved to the 30th spot. Priyanshu Rajawat and Kiran George have also moved up a place each, now ranking 36th and 37th respectively. In women’s singles, PV Sindhu and Malvika Bansod remain the top Indian players, retaining their 15th and 28th positions.

Satwik-Chirag’s ranking stays same

In the doubles category, Indian pairs continue to shine. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, along with Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, have successfully maintained their positions in the top 10, just as they did in the previous week’s rankings. These consistent performances highlight the strength and potential of Indian players on the international stage.

Top players in BWF Ranking

China’s Shi Yu Qi in men’s singles and Korea’s An se Young in women’s are steady at their top position. In doubles, Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark and in women’s doubles, Korean pair of Baek Ha Na and Lee So Hee remain the top players. Feng Yan Zhe and Huang Dong Ping of China continue to dominate in mixed doubles.
