IND対AUS第3テストデーのハイライト：雨でスポイルされるも、インドは序盤で得点できず

There was an 80% chance of rain and the heavens did open up. Day 1 of the IND vs AUS 3rd Test in Gabba was washed off with just 13.2 overs being bowled. The first delay came when the slight drizzle brought a delay after 5 overs. But then after the 13th was over, the heavens opened up and it ceased to stop.

The rain gods showed no mercy in Gabby as the dark and gloomy skies meant more misery for both India and Australia. Following the second delay, the lunch was called in. After which the delay continued as the rain intensity continued to rise. With the rain showing no intent of stopping, the entire session 2 was washed off and ultimately tea was called off.

The shower gradually slowed down but it didn’t stop. As a result, no pitch and ground inspection could take place. Despite good drainage at the Gabba, with the rain not stopping meaning, there was no chance for the game to resume. And eventually, it remained 28/0 for Australia after 13.2 overs.

India fail to get early wickets

Rohit Sharma shocked everyone by choosing to bowl first after winning the toss. He said that since the pitch was soft and with rain in the air, it was a good option to bowl first. But the Indian pacers failed to get early breakthroughs. The pace department bowled rather short thereby giving the Aussie openers, Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney time to settle.

But the India Cricket Team pacers did eventually get their chance and got into the groove, only to be interrupted by the rain. With Day 1 being washed off, India will be determined to come out with all guns blazing on Day 2 in Gabba. But it might not be easy flowing as both Day 2 and Day 3 have a 70% chance of high rain.
