KL Rahul

KL Rahul was not retained by Lucknow Super Giants after a fallout with the franchise. And thus Delhi Capitals wasted no time in swooping on the ace player for a price of 14 crores. Rahul is expected to co-captain the team with Axar Patel and he has loads of experience under his belt.

Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc became the highest-priced player last season and after lifting the IPL trophy with KKR he is now a member of Delhi Capitals. Kolkata Knight Riders couldn’t retain the Aussie superstar and DC wasted little time to buy the pacer for a price of 11.75 crores.

Starc will spearhead Delhi’s pace attack. He will be crucial in picking wickets both during powerplay and in the death overs. With vast experience and a world champion in International Cricket, Starc will be a key player for the Capitals in the upcoming season.

Axar Patel

Axar Patel has been a player of DC’s core setup for quite some time and will continue to be so. Delhi retained him on IPL 2025 Retention Day and is building the team around the all-rounder. Axar’s ability to finish innings down the order and weave magic with the ball makes him one of the best in the business.

The southpaw with age is maturing as a fine cricketer. His past experience as a vice-captain will be crucial when he co-captains the team alongside KL Rahul, making him a vital asset for the team.
