LSG対MI、IPL 2025:ミッチェルマーシュ
Aiden Markram had the best seat in the house as the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) brushed away their powerplay blues against the Mumbai Indians. Put into bat at the Ekana Stadium, openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram blasted Trent Boult and co. for 69/0 in the powerplay.
Before the LSG vs MI game, LSG’s opening partnership scores read: 1, 4, and 46. However, on Friday, the Marsh-Markram duo put on their first half-century stand. Fortunately for Markram, he had little to do, with his partner in crime going all guns blazing.
Markram gets a free ticket for the Marsh onslaught
With the field restrictions in play, the Australian T20 captain made merry, smashing his 3rd half-century of IPL 2025. The former Delhi Capitals star hogged the strike in the first six overs, going hard against the new ball in a brute display.
Such was his onslaught that his partner Markram was happy playing second fiddle. Despite being a batter of international pedigree, the South African superstar just rotated the strike, letting Marsh and his bat do the talking. In the powerplay, Markram just faced a total of 6 deliveries, scoring a mere 7 runs. In comparison, his Australian counterpart raced to 60 off just 30 deliveries with 9 fours and 2 sixes.
Markram will look to take a leaf out of his partner’s book. The Proteas ace has struggled for runs, while Marsh has flown high so far in IPL 2025. Markram will hope to build on his start at the Ekana and put on a good score as LSG aims to return to winning ways.
