IPLP 2025：KKRENCKRENTのKKRにピッチ-Pite-Fectは、SrantrumbからSrantrumbまで80ランになります

Hopefully, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane won’t have much to complain about the Eden Gardens pitch, as his team recorded an 80-run victory over SRH on Thursday. After the clash vs RCB on March 22, the home captain wasn’t too impressed by the Kolkata pitch and expected more assistance for bowlers.. that started a war of words with curator Sujan Mukherjee, but not anymore.

No More Complains for KKR at Eden Gardens

First, Angkrish Raghuvanshi (50) and Venkatesh Iyer (60) batted exceptionally well for KKR to score 200/6, and then bowled out SRH for 120, with every bowler chipping in. Pacer Vaibhav Arora returned with figures of 3/29, while Sunil Narine tightened the screws on Hyderabad batsmen, with 1/30. But most importantly, spinner Varun Chakravarthy got the much-expected assistance from the pitch to deliver a match-winning performance of 3/22. In short, just a performance by the bowlers, and the batters too, that will hold KKR in good stead.

With this win, Kolkata Knight Riders made their way up to the fifth position from the last, with two wins in four matches. The foundation of the victory though was laid by the batters, despite a poor start. Reeling at 16/2 at one stage, Rahane combined well with youngster Raghuvanshi, to stitch a partnership of 71, and then Iyer and Rinku Singh (32) just managed to finish well.

Come the chase, SRH with a failing top-order were out of the match quite early. With Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan falling early, the visitors were reduced to 9/3 in 3 overs only. And that was it. The match was lost there, and the team never really recovered.

Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 19 from 15, Kamindu Mendis 27 from 20 and Heirich Klaasen 33 from 21, but that wasn’t enough. This performance has exposed SRH’s batting woes even further.
