LSGコーチのLang Langseredは、Mayank Yadravが新しい傷を拾い上げたが、Avesh Khanは今クレイジーだと述べた
Lucknow Super Giants coach Justin Langer confirmed that the side will play their IPL 2025 opener against DC without four of their Indian pacers. While Mohsin Khan has been replaced by Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav and Akash Deep are not completely fit yet. Ahead of LSG vs DC, Langer revealed that Avesh might join the side on Monday, while also confirming Mayank’s new injury.

Langer on LSG’s pacers trouble
Speaking to reporters ahead of LSG vs DC, Langer said that Mayank’s recovery at the NCA had suffered a setback due to a new injury. The pacer, who was rehabilitating for a back injury, has now injured his toe. The former Australian coach hoped that Yadav would be available to play in the back end of IPL 2025.
“Mayank, who everyone was very excited about last year, he was going quite well, and he kicked his toe on the bed. He got an infection in his toe. It’s put his rehab back about a week or two weeks. But he’s up and running.,” Langer said.

Langer also provided an update on Avesh Khan and Akash Deep. The LSG coach said that the latter was bowling at 90%, adding that he had completed his yo-yo test.
“We think Avesh Khan will pass his right to play tomorrow morning through the NCA. So, if that’s the case, then he’ll be back sooner rather than later,” Langer added.
Mayank is set to miss the first seven matches of IPL 2025, reports had stated earlier. The injury prone pacer sustained a blow to his back in late 2024 and has been at the NCA since then. Without the above mentioned pacers available, LSG will now have to rely on an inexperienced Indian attack. Their only hope is that the trio of Thakur-Arshin-Hangrekar will be able to fire effectively for them.
