SA20 Points Table: What was expected to be a thrilling contest turned out to be a one-sided affair as MI Cape Town dismantled the defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, in the curtain-raiser of the SA20 new season. Thanks to Dewald Brevis’s 57-run innings, MI Cape Town managed to post a solid total of 174 runs on a low-scoring surface at St George’s Park.

With the ball, they completely dominated, dismantling the Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s batting lineup early. From Zak Crawley to Aiden Markram, all fell cheaply. Delano Potgieter’s five-wicket haul helped MI Cape Town secure a massive 97 run victory over the defending champions.
