The seasoned batter is close to becoming only the third player to surpass 1,000 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), alongside David Warner and Rohit Sharma.

Kohli has the opportunity to achieve this feat during RCB’s opening clash against KKR at Eden Gardens on March 22.

Virat Kohli ranks third among the highest run-scorers against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL history. He trails only David Warner (1,093) and Rohit Sharma (1,070) on this prestigious list. Notably, only one other batter has crossed the 900-run mark against KKR.

Virat Kohli’s lone IPL century against KKR came at Eden Gardens in 2019, where he has scored 371 runs in 12 innings. His average and strike rate are slightly lower than his overall record against KKR. In his last Eden Gardens outing, he scored 18 off seven balls, but RCB will hope for a big knock in the IPL 2025 opener.
