If things were not already looking good for India, it is only going to get worse as they head into a rain-hit IND vs AUS 3rd Test in Brisbane. The do-or-die clash for Rohit Sharma and co, which begins on Saturday, is threatened by rain on all five days, with the forecast predicting 80% chance of showers on Day 1. India’s WTC dreams have been dealt with a blow after losing a home series to New Zealand and a 10-wicket loss to Australia in IND vs AUS 2nd Test in Adelaide. Should the match in Brisbane get washed out, then India have very little chances of making it to their third consecutive World Test Championship (WTC) final.

IND vs AUS 3rd Test faces potential washout threat!

According to Australian government’s Bureau of Meteorology, there are 80% chance of heavy showers on Day 1 of IND vs AUS 3rd Test. There seems to be no respite on the rest of the days either, with forecast for 70-40% chance of rain. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy currently stands at 1-1. Should this game be washed out, then India must have to win both remaining games in order to keep their WTC final hopes alive.

 After securing a mammoth 295-run win in Perth in the opening Test, Rohit Sharma and co. faltered in the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide.

Key performances in the Adelaide Test came from Travis Head, who smashed an aggressive 140 off 141 balls, and Marnus Labuschagne, contributing a steady 64 off 126 deliveries. Mitchell Starc and captain Pat Cummins dismantled India, taking 8 and 7 wickets respectively, showcasing Australia’s resilience and determination to bounce back in the five-match series.
