The 36-year-old has surpassed the legendary Rahul Dravid’s record for the most catches by an Indian fielder across all formats. Kohli achieved this feat during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday. By taking Matt Henry’s catch, he took his tally to 334, surpassing Dravid’s mark of 333 international catches.

Not long ago, he surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin in ODIs, and now, across all formats for India, he stands at the top, surpassing Dravid in the list. Mohammad Azharuddin sits third with 261 catches, followed by Sachin Tendulkar (256) and Rohit Sharma (229).

In the recent Champions Trophy match against New Zealand, Team India secured a commanding 44-run victory and will now face Australia in the first semi-final of the tournament on March 4 in Dubai.
