Mitchell Starc kept Delhi Capitals in the contest with a fine last over to take the game to the Super Over. Bowling the Super Over, the Australian showed his worth, nailing his lengths to restrict the visitors. The Royals sent Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag to face the 6 balls, surprising given Nitish Rana’s heroics in the chase.

Chasing 12 to win, the Rajasthan Royals trusted Sandeep Sharma to get the job done, despite the presence of Jofra Archer. Delhi Capitals put their trust in KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs to chase down 12. Rahul got the pressure off the back nailing a boundary with just the second ball. Stubbs then sealed the game with a six over mid-wicket to make it 5 wins for Delhi in IPL 2025.
