スティーブ・スミスは3度目のBBLトンを達成した後、2028年のロサンゼルスオリンピックに参加できれば素晴らしいと明かした。

Despite being out of favour when it comes to T20Is, Steve Smith has no plans to give up and is eyeing to play the 2028 Los Angles Olympics. With cricket set to return to the marquee event after a long gap, the former Australian skipper reckons it will be pretty cool to take part in the event. His remarks came right after he smashed a century in the Big Bash League (BBL).

Following his whirlwind knock for Sydney Sixers at the SCG, Smith revealed his ambitions to take part in the Olympics. He confirmed that he intends to play in the shortest format of the game for a while once he is done playing Tests. Smith also admitted that he hasn’t spoken about getting a recall to the T20I side. It is pertinent to point out that he was left out of Australia’s squad for the T20 World Cup and hasn’t been considered for the shortest format since then.

“I’d like to play the Olympics, I reckon that would be cool. We’ll see how far I go in terms of long-form cricket. But I am going to play short-form cricket for a while I think when I do finish. You never know,” Smith said.
