ヴァルン・チャクラヴァルシー対ラビ・ビシュノイ、クルディープ・ヤダヴのスピナーの座を争うがチャンピオンズトロフィーには不向き

It remains to be seen whether Kuldeep Yadav recovers in time for the ICC Champions Trophy. Thus, as a result, it is reported that the BCCI Selection Committee is having thoughts looking for a replacement. In terms of the spin department, it will be a close call between Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi.

The duo are currently participating in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and are making the heads turn with their impressive performances. Varun Chakravarthy is currently the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 18 scalps from 7 games. Bishnoi on the other hand is on the 10th highest list with 14 wickets from 8 games.

Who makes the cut?

The situation is currently precarious. If Kuldeep is unfit then India will be in major trouble. While the replacements are fine and good enough, they simply don’t have the experience and the X-factor that Kuldeep possesses. The BCCI Medical Team has reportedly asked Kuldeep to give a fitness Test to show that he is 100% fit before the India squad announcement.

The odds are stacked against Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi. While the former is yet to make his ODI debut, Bishnoi on the other hand has played just a single 50-over match for India. In terms of stats in T20Is, Bishnoi tops the charts, but as per recent form, it has to be the former.
