ケビン・ピーターセンは、ラジコットでの貧しいショーの後、インドの「貧しいバッティング命令」に出かけます

Rajkotでの損失にもかかわらず、インドはInd vs Eng T20i 2-1シリーズをリードし続けています

The India Cricket Team was handed a 26-run defeat in the IND vs ENG 3rd T20I at Rajkot. Former England captain, Kevin Pietersen was not at all happy with India’s performance. He called out and questioned India’s batting order, citing the example of Dhruv Jurel not being able to fire since he was dropped down the order.

India headed into the game where a win could have sealed the series for the hosts. But it was England who turned up strongly. They posted a decent total of 171 runs. In reply, India could only manage 145 runs with the batting order failing miserably.

Kevin Pietersen unhappy with India’s batting order

“I didn’t like the batting order either. I’m someone who believes your best batters should bat at the top of the order. I was in South Africa last week, and the Durban Super Giants were having an absolute shocker of a tournament. But Quinton de Kock was batting at 3 or 4, and Heinrich Klaasen was batting at 6 or 7. I approached these guys and asked, ‘Why are you doing this?’ You’ve seen the same thing happen here this evening,” Kevin Pietersen said while speaking on Star Sports.

India made a horror decision where they decided to promote Washington Sundar up the order instead of allowing Dhruv Jurel to go down the middle. This gamble worked poorly. While Washi managed to score 6 runs, Jurel in return could manage to score just 2 runs at the lower order.

A guy like Dhruv Jurel, who is a very good and accomplished batter, is being dropped down the order because of the left-hander, right-hander strategy. Hardik is struggling a little, and there wasn’t that much pressure on these batters to come out and score at 10 runs per over,” he concluded.

Hardik Pandya’s slow innings didn’t go kindly in favor of the hosts either. Pietersen claimed he has seen a similar situation last week in the SA20 with the Durban Super Giants where Heinrich Klaasen was batting much down the order. On the other hand, he questioned why Dhruv Jurel was dropped to a much lower position simply due to the right-left-handed combination.
