Jos Buttler was fuming when he claimed that in no way could Harshit Rana and Shivam Dube be a like-for-like replacement. But England captain Jos Buttler claimed that he disagreed with the decision. He claimed England would have won the game, had it not been a controversial decision.

“Either Shivam Dube has put on about 25 mph with the ball or Harshit has really improved his batting. It’s not a like-for-like replacement, we don’t agree with that. It’s part of the game, I still think we should have gone on to win the match but we disagree with the decision,” Jos Buttler said after the game.

Jos Buttler claimed that he didn’t agree with the decision. However, he further added that it was a part of the game and they have to abide by it. He also mockingly claimed that Shivam Dube might have added 25 mph to his pace or Harshit Rana improved his batting, indicating a subtle dig towards the change.

He further added he was told by the umpires that Harshit came in as a concussion substitute. He further added that the match referee had made the decision and it was not a call that the umpires made about it.
