The ICC Under-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup is an international cricket tournament organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and contested by national women’s under-19 teams. The tournament was recently introduced, with the inaugural event taking place in January 2023 in South Africa, featuring matches played in the T20 format. U19 Women’s WC winners
India (2023)
South Africa hosted the inaugural Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023, where India claimed victory. Led by Shafali Verma, India advanced through the group stage unbeaten, despite a Super Six loss to Australia. In the semi-finals, India defeated New Zealand by chasing down 108 runs in 14.2 overs. The final saw India dominate England, bowling them out for 68 runs and securing the title by reaching the target in 14 overs.

The Women in Blue successfully defended their title after winning the IND vs. SA Women’s U19 World Cup final. To note, India U19 defeated South Africa U19 in the final of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, held at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on February 2nd, 2025. India, led by Niki Prasad, successfully chased down the target of 82 runs to retain their title.
