「エネルギーをもたらす」：Kuldeep Senは、IPL 2025のPBKでYuzvendra Chahalに会うことに興奮しています

IPL is just a few months away, and teams have done some smart purchasing for the upcoming season. In the auction Punjab Kings have just transformed their team with some new and veteran players alongside them. Kuldeep Sen, the newest addition to Punjab Kings for IPL 2025 is thrilled to take on the challenge and hopes to make this season unforgettable. “I was training in Bangalore and was sitting with my friends. I had this gut feeling, even before the auction started, that I would be acquired by Punjab Kings,” Kuldeep said. Joining the Kings is special for him, as his first IPL trial was with the team back in 2018.

Humble beginnings for Kuldeep

Kuldeep who comes from Madhya Pradesh, started playing cricket at 15, driven by his passion for the sport. He made his ODI debut for India in 2022, but his journey wasn’t easy. “No one in my family knew much about cricket. Everybody liked watching cricket, but my father didn’t like it at all. He started watching cricket only after I started playing,” Kuldeep shared. Only his mother knew about his early cricketing ambitions.

Overcoming financial limits

Financial struggles were a part of Kuldeep’s journey. His selection for the Madhya Pradesh team in 2019 not only gained his father’s support but also eased his financial burden. Recalling his India call-up, Kuldeep said, “I was in NCA when my call for India came. My friend at Rajasthan Royals told me I was selected. I couldn’t sleep the night before my match against Bangladesh… Playing for the country is still the best thing that has happened to me.”

Reunion with Yuzvendra Chahal

Kuldeep is eager to reunite with his former Rajasthan Royals teammate Yuzvendra Chahal at Punjab Kings. He described Chahal as a fun-loving and pure-hearted person. “I have been with Yuzi bhai for three years. He is a fun and humorous person and makes everybody laugh. You can talk to him any time, and you get to learn a lot,” Kuldeep said, looking forward to learning from him and enjoying their camaraderie once again.
