The fire is still burning inside me to play at the highest level,” he said. Rahane remains motivated by Test cricket, even when not chosen by selectors. “Test cricket has fire and passion in me. The goal is clear to make another comeback,” he stated. He recounted feeling overlooked for the South Africa series despite performing well domestically and in IPL, putting his focus on controlling what he can through his game.
