But despite that mediocre performance, their all-rounder Khushdil Shah feels that Pakistan can beat India on Sunday. “India has a good, strong team, but every team is beatable, and India too can be defeated. If we bring our A-game, then we can beat India. The belief is there, and if there is belief, then we can make things happen,” Khushdil told TelecomAsia.

Hosts face an early elimination, in case of another defeat from the competition, and have a must-win game against the arch-rivals. But for Khushdil, it will all be possible with better pressure-handling tactics. “When India and Pakistan play, the whole world watches. The team that manages pressure better wins, and we are used to it.”

“We have lost one match but we are still in the tournament. We can beat India if we play well so don’t rule out as yet,” Khushdil added. Having said that, Pakistan has a decent record record in the Champions Trophy vs India, and have beaten them thrice in the competition, including the CT 2017 final.

Meanwhile, the team was dealt with a severe blow after their main batter, Fakhar Zaman was ruled out of the tournament. As a replacement, Imam Ul Haq has been drafted as a replacement.
